Fender Stage 100 (NOT DSP) Reviews 5

I bought this amp off of EBay for $310, me and my parents split the cost for my birthday. (Please note this is the older model it has no DSP effects)

Just so you know, I am 15, play a Squire Affinity Strat, play mostly punk, and have only played guitar for a year, so I may not know as much about tone as others would. I have really enjoyed this amp, I've had it for about a month now. The clean channel is great, it has classic Fender clean tone that Fender is famous for. There is a Drive and More Drive channel, I use the More Drive channel as my distorted channel. I set the drive about halfway between six and seven. I use the More Drive channel because I like the sound better, it's thicker, juicier, more powerful distortion that sounds better I think for punk. It can only sound so good with a Squier Affinity Strat, but I was suprised how good of tone I could get out of this amp. As far as the volume this amp is LOUD. Definitely good for bands just starting to play venues. It's got plenty of power for small clubs and such.

I couldn't really ask more for tone out of an amp. The only guitar I've played on it is mine, but I'm sure the better, more expensive guitars sound great through it. Though the tone is fine, the lower back panel was busted when I got it, I guess that's what I get for buying it from EBay. The seller denied any knowledge of it. This should be fine if you get it as long as nobody steps on it or something like that.

Like I said, the amp should hold together fine as long as it isn't abused, I've had no problems besides the damaged panel.

All in all this is a great amp for my style of playing. I really like the distortion and clean tones this amp has. I give it a 5 out of 5. The only problem was that panel, which shouldn't happen so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
